Zoe Taylor
Drawing upon the experience of landscape as her inspiration, artist Zoe Taylor's paintings form an individual response to time and space. Searching out solitary places which grant her the opportunity for reflection, she creates rough sketches and written notes in the field, often merging them with half-remembered landscapes and thoughts, before building them into final works in her studio.
The titles of her paintings often reflect the thoughts behind or beside the work, rather than having a direct connection with what is seen. Zoe's intention is to offer the viewer a starting point to have their own experience of and with the painting.
