Welcome to Gallery at Home, a new contemporary art gallery in a little town called Usk.
A converted cow shed, in the shadow of a magnificent windmill, with views of green fields and Welsh mountains, Gallery at Home recreates the sense of home. Artworks sit comfortably on the walls alongside a candlelit table, visitors can enjoy homemade sandwiches, cakes, coffee and matcha.
This is a space to sit still and enjoy looking. Gallery At Home endeavours to remove the elitism that comes with art spaces, and communicate generously with everyone that visits. Gallery At Home wants to make artwork accessible to all, celebrate artists both emerging and established, subjects that provoke thought and bring us together. All are welcome in the space to enjoy opening shows, workshops, artist gatherings or just a quiet hour with an art book.
For the owner and curator of the gallery, Sonia, home is a place filled with things both beautiful and useful. Having curated gallery spaces for over twenty five years, Sonia has always championed and provided a platform for artists she admires. Gallery At Home celebrates the joy of living with art in your life, every day.
Gallery At Home is a space for creativity, a place of light, calm and peace.
‘Curate every aspect of your life, as much as you can. It’s in the things that deeply inspire us that we find ourselves. Surround yourself with truth, and you’ll have built yourself a heaven.’
